Fenix KC en Suecia

El instituto en el que estudiamos se llama Fenix Kunskapscentrum (centro del conocimiento). Está en Vaggeryd, en el sur de Suecia y ha funcionado desde 1996. Está al lado de un lago, y alrededor hay bosque. Sólo hay un edificio, un edificio para todo. La biblioteca del municipio/del instituto está en su centro. Una cosa especial sobre esta escuela es que ¡no hay pasillos! La mayor parte de las salas tienen paredes de vidrio. Fenix ha sido premiado por su arquitectura, entre otras cosas ha sido elegido por OCDE, entre 55 escuelas del mundo, por ser un instituto modelo.
Somos un instituto TIC, y tenemos muchos intercambios y proyectos con otros países como por ejemplo España, por supuesto, Italia, Polonia, Francia, Alemania, Japón y los Países Bajos.

Aquí tenemos enseñanza secundaria, pero también sueco para inmigrantes, formación profesional cualificada, educación de adultos de nivel del bachillerato. Hay cabida para más o menos 600 jóvenes y adultos. Las clases duran medio día, así sólo tenemos dos clases cada día, normalmente.

El nacimiento de Fenix.

En este lugar se ha celebrado la noche de Walpurgis, el 30 de Abril. Entonces se celebra la primavera con una hoguera grande.

Al ser construído el instituto hubo una competición sobre su nombre. ¿Cómo iba a llamarse? Un alumno ha propuesto el nombre de Fenix; el pájaro del conocimiento. Nace de las cenizas después de la hoguera. Es perfecto, ¿no?

About Fenix

The school we go to is called Fenix Kunskapscentrum (center of knowledge). It’s situated in Vaggeryd, a village in the south of Sweden and it was built and started in 1996. There is a lake next to the school, and forest surroundings. There is only one building to all of it. The municipal- and school library is in its center. One special thing for this school is that there are no hallways! Most of the classrooms got walls of glass. Fenix has been given prices for its architecture, and it has been selected by the OECD with 55 other schools and institutions for being a model school.

Fenix is an IT-based school, and we’ve got lots of student exchanges and projects with other countries like Spain, Italy, Poland, France, Germany, Japan and the Netherlands.

This is an upper secondary school, but we’ve also got Swedish For Immigrants, Qualified vocational education and adult education. There’s room for around 600 people, young and adults. The lessons last half a day, so normally you have two lessons a day.

The birth of Fenix

The place where Fenix is situated used to be the place where Walpurgis Night was celebrated, the 30 of April. It's when you celebrate the spring with a great bonfire.

When the school was built there was a namegiving competition. What would be the name of the school? A pupil discovered the name Fenix; Phoenix, the bird of knowledge, the one that’s born out of the ashes. That's perfect, don't you think?

Om Fenix

Utsidan.

Skolan vi går i heter Fenix Kunskapscentrum. Det ligger i Vaggeryd, i södra Sverige och den har funnits sedan 1996. Skolan ligger jämte en sjö, och runtom växer skog. Det finns bara en byggnad, en byggnad till alltihop. Biblioteket ligger i mitten, och resten ligger runt omkring. En speciell sak för skolan är att det inte finns några korridorer! Större delen av salarna har glasväggar. Fenix har fått priser för sin arkitektur, bland annat har den blivit utvald av _ _ _ _ bland 55 skolor i världen för att vara _________.

Fenix är en IT-skola, och vi har mycket utbyten och projekt med andra länder som exempel Spanien, Italien, Polen, Frankrike, Tyskland, Japan och Nederländerna.

Här har vi gymnasie, men också Svenska För Invandrare, Kvalificerad Yrkesutbildning, Komvux och kommunbibliotek. Det finns plats för mer eller mindre 600 ungdomar och vuxna. Lektionerna varar en halv dag, så man har normalt två lektioner om dagen.

Fenix födelse!

På platsen där Fenix ligger har man tidigare firat valborgsmässoafton, då när man firar våren med en stor eld den första maj.

När skolan var byggd anordnades det en tävling om det blivande namnet. Vad skulle skolan heta? En elev kom på namnet Fenix; kunskapsfågeln, den som föds ur askan efter brasan. Det är ju perfekt, eller hur?
